2. Requesting Services

Eligibility: Our handyman and home repair services are intended primarily for widows, widowers, and senior community members in need of assistance aging in place.
Scope of Work: Requests submitted through our Site or phone line are evaluated individually. We reserve the right to accept, decline, or reschedule service requests based on volunteer availability, safety considerations, and organizational scope.
Property Access: Property owners or authorized residents must grant safe access to our volunteers and staff to perform agreed-upon repairs or maintenance.

3. Volunteer Participation

Individuals applying or registering to volunteer through our Site or linked platforms (such as VolunteerLocal) agree to:

4. Donations & Financial Contributions

Tax Deductibility: Books of John is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by United States federal and state law. Official receipts are issued following successful transaction processing.
